Hyderabad: A 17-year-old died, while her elder sister is fighting for life in a private hospital after both of them attempted suicide over a trivial matter.
This tragic incident occurred in Ravirala village of Adibhatla police station limits.According to police, 17-year-old Mamatha consumed hair oil after she was reprimanded by elder sister Ashwini for not paying attention to her studies.
Family members rushed the girl to Osmania General Hospital, where she succumbed while undergoing treatment.
As soon as she came to know about Mamatha’s death, Ashwini consumed phenyl as she thought her sister died because of her.
Her family members rushed her to Owaisi Hospital for treatment. Her condition is stated to be critical, police said.
