Nirmal: Live-in relationship was stated to be the cause for the suicide of Harisha and Harita, private school teachers, whose bodies were found floating in the tank in Maskapur village on Sunday.

The police have recovered six sim cards from Harisha’s house. Harita was married four years ago and divorced her husband one year after the marriage.

After the divorce, she became close to Harisha of Indranagar in Khanapur and their relationship developed into a live-in relationship.

Harita’s attire is akin to that of males and often sports T-shirts and trousers. Their relationship grew to a point where they couldn’t spend even a single day without seeing each other.

Observing Harisha always hooked on to the mobile talking to Harita, her parents broke the mobile thrice to wean her away from Harita.

However, Harisha every time used to purchase a new phone and went ahead with conversation with the partner. A month ago a suicide note, purported to be written by Harita, came to the notice of her school management in Mogilipet.

However, the management had reportedly let her off with a warning. It was suspected that the duo had contemplated suicide soon after and ended their lives by jumping into the tank on Sunday.
