Woman Inspector gets threatening calls
The Lady Inspector of Women Police Station (South Zone) G Laxmi Madhavi received threatening call, where a stranger verbally abused her over her mobile phone, past midnight recently.
Hyderabad: The Lady Inspector of Women Police Station (South Zone) G Laxmi Madhavi received threatening call, where a stranger verbally abused her over her mobile phone, past midnight recently.
As per the complaint registered with IT wing of Central Crime Station (CCS), at first the calls were made on her official landline; but later the accused who is not known to her called the Inspector over her mobile around midnight. He addressed her as the Inspector and began abusing her in filthy language. This continued for several times and Laxmi Madhavi who was taken aback by his behaviour immediately called the IT cell and informed about the incident.
Speaking to media persons on Tuesday, she said that the caller who spoke in Hindi language could possibly a disparager, who was affected by her decision made as part of her duty. “During past one and half year, none offended me. But this person has called me about five times during the midnight, just to abuse me, hence I had to inform the IT Cell to trace-out the man. He could have got my number from Internet or FB.
