Hyderabad: A 60-yr old man was arrested on a charge of raping a 9-year-old girl under Kushaiguda police limits on Tuesday.
According to police, the accused, D Siddhaiah, a resident of Old Kapra, had lured the girl by offering chocolates. After she entered his house, he asked her to remove clothes and raped her.
On learning about the incident, the residents tied the accused to a pole and thrashed him. Later, the police took him into custody.
A case under Sections 376 and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered against the accused.
