Adulterated edible oil racket busted

The South Zone police led by DCP V Satyanarayana on Tuesday raided an alleged adulterated edible oil manufacturing unit at Bahadurpura and seized huge quantities of oil. With no proper registration and valid documents, the unit had been manufacturing edible oil for some time.
Hyderabad: The South Zone police led by DCP V Satyanarayana on Tuesday raided an alleged adulterated edible oil manufacturing unit at Bahadurpura and seized huge quantities of oil. With no proper registration and valid documents, the unit had been manufacturing edible oil for some time.
The police said the unite was found manufacturing manufacturing oil under different brand names at the time of raid. The police verified the validity of these brands under food standards. They took out the samples and sent them to the officials concerned for identification of ingredients being used for manufacturing the edible oil. Action against the unit would be taken basing on the report by the Health officials.
