Ganja worth 60 lakh seized in Narsipatnam

Officers from the Directorate of revenue intelligence (DRI) seized 600 kgs of cannabis (ganja) near Narsipatnam on Sunday.
The DRI officials intercepted a mini truck based on a tip-off regarding prohibited narcotic drugs being transported.
The driver of the vehicle has been arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 while the vehicle is seized.
The vehicle was traveling from Paderu in Visakhapatnam to Warangal in Telangana.
According to the police, the value of the seized ganja in the grey market would be around 60 lakh.
