Disclosing details about the incident, the Circle Inspector M Subramaniam said, “two groups belonging to the same caste clashed with each other regarding the complaints lodged with the Excise department.

BoyaThimmappa and Boya Suresh are the residents of Valmikinagarand are staying in adjacent houses in Adoni. Both Thimmappa and Suresh used to make spurious liquor and several cases were filed by the Excise officials during raids. The duo were suspecting each other about the information provided to the Excise officials.

They developed grudge on each other.’’ The CI stated the duo picked up a quarrel on Thursdaymorning and as planned earlier both parties attacked each other with hunting sickles. On receiving the information, the cops rushed to the spot and took six persons into custody.

The remaining seven persons would be arrested after they were discharged from the hospital. “A case was filed on both parties. All the accused would be produced in the court for further action,” said the CI M Subramaniam.
