Tipsy cop thrashed for injuring couple
An Inspector of Police at Medchal Police Training Centre was booked for driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and injuring a couple.
Hyderabad: An Inspector of Police at Medchal Police Training Centre was booked for driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and injuring a couple. The vehicle being driven by the Inspector of Police allegedly hit the two-wheeler on which the couple were travelling. This incident took place last night near Hanuman temple at Yapral under Jawaharnagar police station limits.
The passers-by, who rushed to the aid of the injured, beat up the Inspector of Police. The Inspector of Police was identified as G Girish Rao, who allegedly drove the vehicle in wrong direction and injured a couple
A criminal case has been registered against the inspector in Jawaharnagar police station. Commissioner of Police Rachakonda M Mahesh Bhagwat also initiated action against the Inspector. The couple were shifted to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
