Intermediate student killed for filming street brawl

Hyderabad: A rowdy-sheeter on Thursday night killed an Intermediate student under Mailardevpally police limits. The victim was identified as Mohammed Mustaq. Later police nabbed the culprits including the main accused.

According to Police, after hearing about a street brawl at Javed panshop at Owaisi Hills in Mailardevpally, the victim along with his friend Nabi went to the place. The rowdy-sheeter Shanoor along with his six gang members were fighting with other group members who were allegedly playing cards. But the locals alleged that the rowdy-sheeter gang came to purchase ganja there and indulged in an argument with other group members.

When tension prevailed in the locality, the victim Mustaq and his friend Nabi started recording the argument in their mobile phones. Shanoor objected the recordings and argued with Mustaq and Nabi.

During the argument, the rowdy-sheeter Shanoor stabbed the victim in chest resulting in his death. Two other persons also sustained injuries in the attack. Later the accused absconded from the spot.  Shanoor was previously involved in several criminal cases including a murder at Hussainialam. Kalapathar police registered rowdy-sheet against the accused. Police officials reached the spot and collected the clues. They shifted the body to Osmania Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. Police have arrested the accused and are investigating the case.
