500 kg ginger garlic paste unit seized
Acting on a tip off, the sleuths of Special Operations Team, Malkajgiri Zone, Rachakonda Commissionerate, apprehended one Mohammed and seized 500 kg of ginger garlic paste and 1,000 kg of raw material and machinery worth Rs 5 lakh at his manufacturing unit at KCR Nagar under Uppal police station limits
KCR Nagar: Acting on a tip off, the sleuths of Special Operations Team, Malkajgiri Zone, Rachakonda Commissionerate, apprehended one Mohammed and seized 500 kg of ginger garlic paste and 1,000 kg of raw material and machinery worth Rs 5 lakh at his manufacturing unit at KCR Nagar under Uppal police station limits.
He procures raw materials from the market at cheap rates and prepares the paste in unhygienic conditions. Chemical preservatives and artificial flavors are added. The illegal manufacturing unit grinds ginger garlic into a paste and is packed in different quantity of bottles with improper labels. These paste is distributed in the wholesale market through petty vendors and earn high profits from the gullible customers.
The above accused and seized property was handed over to Uppal police, for further investigation.
The above arrests were made under the supervision of J Surenderreddy, Addl Dy Commissioner of Police, Special Operations Team, Rachakonda, Inspector G Naveen Kumar, SIs KS Ratnam, Avinashbabu and the staff of the Malkajgiri Zone, Special Operations Team, Rachakonda.
