For the academic year 2018-19, candidates have to exercise as many web options as possible for admissions into various engineering courses offered by engineering colleges through the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2018.

There are 95,235 seats available in 198 government and private engineering colleges in the State with the web counseling to fill 64,566 seats in 184 engineering colleges.

Last year, close to 3,000 candidates failed to get admission in the first phase of web counseling as they did not provide enough web options.

According to the Commissioner of Technical Education, Navin Mittal, candidates should exercise as many number of options to get allotment in a better college and course.

However, top rankers are not participating in the certificate verification process for engineering admissions through the TS EAMCET with only three candidates who bagged a rank between 1 and 100 got certificates verified this year.

Around 63 candidates participated in the verification process from those who secured ranks 101 to 500, 259 students from top 1,000 ranks and 5,699 students from top 10,000 ranks.

The candidates who take part in the verification process have to exercise their web options till June 5 while the provisional allotment of seats will be done on June 8.

Via the website https://tseamcet.nic.in, students can pay tuition fee and self-report from June 8 to 12 after being allotted seat.
