Two professors of Maulana Azad National Urdu University MANUU, Prof S M Rahamatullah and Prof Mushtaq Ahmed I Patel were felicitated on Monday by MANUU Teachers Association

Hyderabad: Two professors of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Prof. S. M. Rahamatullah and Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed I. Patel were felicitated on Monday by MANUU Teacher’s Association. Prof. S. M. Rahamatullah, Professor, Public Administration was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Sri Krishnadeveraya University (SKU), Ananthapur last month where as Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed I. Patel, Principal, CTE Bhopal has recently joined as the Registrar of Central University of Karnataka.

On the occasion, memento and shawl were presented to both the teachers of MANUU. Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU presided over the felicitation programme and Dr. M. A. Sikander, Registrar was the Chief Guest.

While speaking on the occasion Prof. S. M. Rahmathullah, who also served MANUU in various capacities including Registrar, Dean and Finance Officer, expressed his gratitude to one and all who supported him at MANUU. He thanked Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz and former Vice-chancellors of MANUU Prof. A. M. Pathan and Prof. Mohammed Miyan for expressing confidence in him while giving important responsibilities. He also shared his initial experiences as the Vice-Chancellor at SKU.

Professor Mushtaq Ahmed I Patel said that exposure and experience he gained at MANUU is being used in his new role. Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz in his presidential address said that the appointment of these two professors in two different universities on top positions is in a way an expansion of Urdu University itself. Both will bring laurels to MANUU while performing their duties, he hoped.

Mohammad Mustafa Ali Sarwari, Vice President MANUUTA said that it is an honor for Urdu University that these two Professors have become Vice Chancellor and Registrar in other universities. Many talented teachers will attain higher positions. We also need to commit ourselves to make the students of the University successful and help them achieve greater heights, he added. Dr. Mohd. Junaid Zakir, former President MANUUTA welcomed the gathering.

Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Prof. Shahida, Prof. Abdul Azeem, Dr. Kaneez Zehra and Dr. G V Ratnakar also spoke. Dr. Bonthu Kotaiah, General Secretary, MANUUTA conducted the proceedings. Dr. Kahkashan Lateef, Joint Secretary (Publicity) proposed vote of thanks.
