Warangal: Kakatiya University (KU), which was given the responsibility of conducting Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) -2014 for the third in a row, has released the schedule for the test.
The Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Professor B Venkata Ratnam, Higher Education principal secretary Ajay Misra and Technical Education commissioner Ajay Jain have announced the ICET schedule here on Tuesday.
The test for the admission into MBA and MCA would be conducted on May 23, they informed. This time Kothagudem Collieries in Khammam district has been added as the new test centre and that has taken the total number of test centres to 30. The notification would be released on February 14.
Speaking to pressmen at the university campus, Ajay Misra said that the tribal students and other rural area students around Bhadrachalam division requested to set up a centre nearer to them. Following which the decision was taken to conduct the test at Kothagudem this time, he added. The vice chancellor said online registration for the ICET-2014 would begin on February 24. The last date for submission is April 4; with a fine of Rs 500 is April 15, with a fine up to Rs 10,000, applications could be registered by May 19.
The test preliminary key would be released on May 26 and final result would be declared on June 9.
According to vice chancellor there are 813 MBA colleges with an intake of 95,535 seats and 354 MCA colleges with intake of 22,304 excluding convener quota.
