CMTI to aid NIT for MTech programme. The department of mechanical engineering of National Institute of Technology, Warangal, (NITW) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI) based in Bangalore.

Warangal: The department of mechanical engineering of National Institute of Technology, Warangal, (NITW) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI) based in Bangalore.

The CMTI, a research and development institution, will aid NIT launch MTech programme in additive manufacturing. The students will complete their course work at NIT W and some part of the laboratory and project work at the CMTI.
The MoU is signed by NITW director Prof. T Srinivasa Rao and CMTI director PV Shashi Kumar. The MoU includes student and teacher training at CMTI on advanced manufacturing technologies, research and development works and other collaborative projects on mutually agreed terms and conditions.
This MoU will take NITW to a higher level in terms of academic excellence, said Prof. Srinivasa Rao.
