KITS Warangal inaugurates Student Council for 2014-15, The inaugural session of the recently elected Student Council for the year 2014-15 at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal, was held on Saturday.

The inaugural session of the recently elected Student Council for the year 2014-15 at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal, was held on Saturday. The SAC in-charge and Dean Student Affairs K Sridhar, in his message assured his active support for the activities of the council and urged them to strive for the attainment of goals of the council. The president of the Student Council, S Navaneeth Rao, in his message gave suggestions for strengthening the services of the Council. He also suggested starting an ‘Idea Club’ in addition to the Present Clubs. Vice-President V Rashmika Reddy speaking on the occasion assured her support and active participation in the activities of the Council. Another vice-president A Saispoorthi, in her message, focused to work on women empowerment.

During the ceremony, a website ‘Campus Connect’, which will connect all the colleges in the city, designed by S Bhargav, a CSE third year student, was launched by the Principal. The class representatives, faculty in-charges and general secretaries of various clubs, General Secretary of third year batch G Akhil Reddy, Joint-secretary of second year batch N Rahul Reddy, and students of various branches of engineering participated in the programme. Speaking on the occasion principal Dr K Ashok Reddy advised the students to take active part in the activities of various clubs.

Student Council was first constituted during the academic year 2013-14, with an objective to make the students contribute their mite to the development of the institution and also help them develop their career, personality and organisational skills through various interactive programs.
