Ruling Telangana government after having its way on conducting Intermediate Examinations on its own is making serious preparations to conduct even entrance examinations separately breaking out from Andhra Pradesh.

It is known that the Andhra Pradesh government earlier tried for common intermediate exams, but finally was forced to give in to Telangana government's relentless resolve. G.Jagadeesh Reddy, Minister for Higher Education, Telangana stated that preparations are on to conduct EAMCET exams on own according to the section 75 in AP state reorganisation law enacted in the Parliament.

The Minister revealed that talks with Education department and legal officials was underway. He informed that preparations are on to conduct EAMCET to address the needs of the students of Telangana. The Telangana government is planning to take steps that 15% common admissions will not be affected and to do away with 25% Inter marks weightage.

Sources say this may put spanner in the efforts on Andhra Pradesh government which is striving hard to have common EAMCET in both states.
