Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korea Institute of Public Finance (KIPF), recently in New Delhi. Dr R K Mishra (Director, IPE) and Dr Wonhee Lee (Executive Director, Research Center for State Owned Entities, KIPF) representing both the institutions inked the MoU.

Hyderabad: Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korea Institute of Public Finance (KIPF), recently in New Delhi. Dr R K Mishra (Director, IPE) and Dr Wonhee Lee (Executive Director, Research Center for State Owned Entities, KIPF) representing both the institutions inked the MoU. KIPF established in 1992 plays a key role in policy-oriented research and analysis in aspects of taxation and public finance and assisting the government of Korea in formulating national policies.

The areas for collaboration based on this MoU, include, among others, consultation on government expenditure and fiscal policy, privatisation and market competition of the SOEs, performance management and evaluation of SOEs and policies on development of industrial clusters.

Conducting joint research projects, training programmes and organising conferences include in the scope of the MoU. This MoU is expected to fortify research ties between both IPE and KIPF and take forward research insights into policy making. Faculty representatives from IPE and KIPF were present during the MoU signing ceremony.
