Desk is where my heart is

At work, my desk is my favourite place - it makes me who I am, it’s given me a name. It’s given me an identity. I grew up as nobody, from an obese kid to an obese adult, but found my way to finding an identity only by work.

I am a HR professional and have been exposed to administration. Currently I also do a lot of paralegal work. Be it making a presentation, preparing a defence, downing my cuppa or reading the news or just facebooking and staring out of the window, or going through gazillions of mails... this is where it all happens, it’s my hub, it’s me.

I'm quite the loner, quite the story-teller. My brain and thoughts with all their zips and zooms find peace here and I strongly believe, one day your career won't turn back and say... I am leaving. It’s here to stay - be it any desk in India or the states or in Hong Kong now. This piece of furniture always gets my goad :). But having said all the above doesn’t mean I don’t crave or wait for weekends.
