Hyderabad: Considering the large utility of aerospace products and application in the civilian sector, Institution of Engineers’ is organising a two-day seminar on “Civilian Applications of Aerospace Technologies” during 27 – 28 March, 2015. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr.K Jayaraman, Director, Defense Research & Development Laboratory (DRDL) and Guest of Honour Dr.A Krishnaiah, Professor Dept of Mechanical Engineering at Osmania University, Hyderabad and other eminent scientists. Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Dr.G Raja Singh Thangadurai from DRDL delivered key talks on ‘Civilian Applications of Aerospace Technologies’.

The members from the Industry, R&D institutions, and members of Institution of Engineers participated in the seminar and discussed on the various applications for civilian use that can be evolved from the progress made in Aerospace technologies globally. A report will be submitted to the Government after the conclusion of the seminar. The global developments in Aerospace technologies paved way for establishing state of the art aerospace vehicles. These have incorporated some of the most advanced cutting edge technologies.

Sustained research in aerospace applications paved way for innovation in different sub-disciplines like aerodynamics, control and guidance, propulsion, sensors, test methodology, thermal engineering and advanced composites. The Chief Guest for the valedictory ceremony which is scheduled for 28th March is Capt. S.N.Reddy, CEO, AP Aviation Academy, Hyderabad and Guest-of-Honour is Prof. B. Sudheer Prem Kumar, JNTUH, Hyderabad.
