The Naukri Job Speak index for the city was at 1709 in the same period last year. Among the key sectors, Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI), Information Technology (IT) recorded the maximum year on year increase.

Hyderabad: New analysis done by Naukri Job Speak revealed that hiring activity in the city has increased by eight per cent in March 2015 compared to last year. The Naukri Job Speak index for the city was at 1709 in the same period last year. Among the key sectors, Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI), Information Technology (IT) recorded the maximum year on year increase.

  • Hiring in the IT sector increased by 29 per cent in March 15 over March 14
  • Professionals working in consulting and HR saw an upsurge in demand by 27 per cent and 21 per cent respectively in March 2015 over March 2014

An in-depth analysis of the city revealed that the IT sector saw an increase of 29 per cent in hiring over the last year. Banking emerged as an extremely strong sector registering a growth of 129 per cent this year comparing to yester year. Oil and Gas and Telecom also saw an upward trend in hiring by 12 per cent and 8 per cent respectively over the year.

However, Construction and Engineering and Auto saw a year on year dip of 6 per cent and 11 per cent respectively in hiring activity in March 2015 as compared with March 2014. Hiring of ITES professionals saw a 6 per cent year on year rise in its Job index value in March 2015 over March 2014. Consulting and HR saw 27 per cent and 21 per cent more hiring this year in comparison to last year. There was also an increase in hiring of banking professionals by 19 per cent this year.
