A two-day national workshop on Implementation of Reservation Policy in Central Universities will be held at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) on April 30 and May 1. This workshop will focus on reservation policy implemented in Central Universities and dissemination of the operative principles for effective implementation of the government directives.

Hyderabad: A two-day national workshop on Implementation of Reservation Policy in Central Universities will be held at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) on April 30 and May 1. This workshop will focus on reservation policy implemented in Central Universities and dissemination of the operative principles for effective implementation of the government directives.


The timings of the workshop will be 10 am to 5.30 pm. Participation & Registration Fee will be Rs 500/- per person and Rs 1000/- for more than two officials from each institution. For further details, those interested may send an e-mail to: phnaik3@gmail.com or drsct@uohyd.ernet.in.


There will be live rendition on the following subjects during the national workshop: (1) Constitutional Provisions on Reservation Policy. (2) Definitions of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Persons with Disabilities, Ex-Servicemen and unreserved candidates (3) Concept of merit appointments, including promotions.


(4) Concept of Backlog Reserved Carried Forward Unfilled Vacancies (5) Principles for Preparing and Maintaining New Reservation Registers and Reservation Roster Registers. (6) Mode of Recruitment and Promotions. (7) Various important dates for implementation of reservation orders in general and in Central Universities, in particular.


(8) New Format for Reservation Register and Reservation Roster Register. (9) Verification of Caste Claim. (10) Role and Functions of Liaison Officer. (11) Role and Functions of National Commissions and (12) Role and Responsibilities of SC/ST Welfare Associations.
