Maulana Azad National Urdu University, the only university offering courses at higher level through Urdu medium, has introduced some new regular courses i.e., Ph.D. (Mathematics), M.Phil. (Islamic Studies & Political Science), M.A. (Sociology, History & Economics) and B.Sc. (Hons).

Maulana Azad National Urdu University, the only university offering courses at higher level through Urdu medium, has introduced some new regular courses i.e., Ph.D. (Mathematics), M.Phil. (Islamic Studies & Political Science), M.A. (Sociology, History & Economics) and B.Sc. (Hons).


The important courses which were introduced last year are Paramedical courses and Integrated programmes of B.A. & B.Sc. which are running successfully. Tahseen-e-Ghazal or Appreciation of Ghazal certificate course as well as diploma course is a very unique course, conceived & designed keeping in view the popularity of Urdu poetry among non-Urdu speakers and is being run successfully. University has also started Ph. D. in MCJ & Social Work and these courses had received good response.

For the academic year 2015-16, the campus based courses for which admission process has begun, includes Integrated courses Integrated P.G.

(Mathematics), M. Ed., B. Ed., B. Tech. (Computer Science), D. El.Ed., M. Phil. (Urdu, Arabic, Persian, English, Hindi, Public Administration, Women Education, Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, Business Management, Translation Studies, Education, Islamic Studies & Pol. Science) and Ph. D. P.G. Diploma (Functional Hindi, Functional Urdu), Diploma Programmes (Arabic, Arabic Translation, Tahseen-e-Ghazal, Persian) and Certificate Courses (Khush Khati, Amoozish Urdu, Tahseen–e–Ghazal, Proficiency in Arabic). Admission in MA (MCJ) MBA, MCA, Integrated B.Tech.-M.Tech (CS); M.Tech. (CS), D.El.Ed., M.Ed., B.Ed., all Ph.D. & M.Phil and Polytechnic courses will be on the basis of entrance examinations and in all other courses admissions will be on merit basis.

Admission into MSW will base on Interview also. Last date for submission of filled in application forms for all entrance test based courses will be 27th May, 2015 and for all other merit based admission will be 2nd July 2015 and for others the last date will be 7th August, 2015. The prospectus-cum-application forms for entrance test based admissions are available online at manuu.ac.in.

The printed prospectus-cum-application forms for merit based admissions will be available in the academic section, University headquareter/regional centre/college of teacher education/polytechnic from 11th May to 20th July 2015 against the payment of Rs. 300/- for general and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/PWD. The registration fee for entrance based admissions is Rs. 500/- for general and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST/PWD.

All payments are only trhough challan available on the university website. Online submission of application form facility is available for programmes admissions based on Entrance Test. The Programme-wise details are available in the prospectus. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC candidates for admission into various programmes will be as per the Government of India rules. Hostel facility would be provided subject to vacancy.
