Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce (SACC) conducted the prize distribution ceremony for Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit- Start-up Weekend 2016 recently at Rajiv Gandhi Technology Park, Chandigarh. The ten finalist teams were awarded with cash prizes and certificates of recognition. Earlier on 8 March 2016, the teams from different districts of Haryana had pitched their plans in the finale of the Start-up Weekend at The Leela Kempinski, Gurgaon, out of which 3 teams were declared winners.

Team ‘Tag on’ of The NorthCap University, Gurgaon comprising Shubham Dupta, Shubham Dawra, Shubhashree Das and Sugash Pandey stood first in the competition, while Team Bloodline of NCU comprising Vineet Gupta, Pranav Jain, Palash Chhabra and Artika Manchanda stood third. The second positon was awarded to Team Farm Net. In the preliminary rounds, over 300 students from about 50 colleges and universities from 21 districts of Haryana had participated and pitched their ideas for startups.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony was presided over by Sh. Devender Singh IAS, Principal Secretary to Govt., Haryana,Electronics & IT Department.

Receiving the award, the team member of Team Bloodline of NCU Vineet Gupta said, “Winning the Startup Weekend organized in our university and presenting our university in front of dignitaries including CM of Haryana will remain one of my best memories throughout my life. Startup Weekend was a great learning experience for all of us. It provided us a platform to present our idea and start our entrepreneurial journey. 54 hrs of regressive work and the facilities provided by the University was awesome. We worked whole day and night enjoying the nightlife of University.”
