Hyderabad: Md. Akhtar Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Aerospace Engineering, GITAM (Deemed to be University), Hyderabad received ‘Best Paper Presentation Award’ in International Conference on ‘Application of Fluid Dynamics’ (ICAFD-2018) held at VIT, Vellore recently. The conference was organised in association with University of Botswana and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, USA.
In his research aerodynamic performance of corrugated wing is performed at Reynolds numbers of 15,000 using CFD. This research comprises the aerodynamic performance of 2-D dragonfly corrugated aerofoil at different Angle of Attack (AoA) varying corrugated angle and peak height. The dragonfly wing design pioneers the future development of the Micro Wind Turbine and helps in border security surveillance. GITAM, Hyderabad Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. N Siva Prasad, Resident Director DVVSR Varma, School of Technology Principal Prof. Ch Sanjay, Department of Aerospace Engineering HoD Prof. A Satya Devi, faculty appreciated Akhtar Khan were present on his achievement.
