Hyderabad: For the first time in this season, Medak and Nizamabad touched the highest day temperature of 40 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday, as the maximum temperatures have been rising sharply in the recent past.

While Hanamkonda and Hyderabad recorded 39 degrees Celsius each, Adilabad, Bhadrachalam had a high temperature of 38 degrees Celsius. Other high day-time temperatures recorded were in Hakimpet and Khammam 37 and 36 degrees Celsius respectively.

The Met office info showed that that dry weather prevailed in the State on Tuesday. The minimum temperatures rose appreciably and they were markedly above normal at one or two places. The lowest minimum temperature recorded was 19 degrees Celsius in Adilabad.

The other recordings in the State were: Hakimpet, Hanmakonda 21 each, Hyderabad, Medak, Nalgonda 22 each, Khammam, Mahbubnagar 23 each, Bhadrachalam, Nizamabad, Ramagundam 24 each.
