Chili’s Grill & Bar Turns Two. Chili’s Grill & Bar, an American casual dining restaurant chain present in 33 countries worldwide including Canada, Mexico, Egypt, Russia, Germany, India and South Korea amongst several others completed two years in the city.

Chili’s Grill & Bar, an American casual dining restaurant chain present in 33 countries worldwide including Canada, Mexico, Egypt, Russia, Germany, India and South Korea amongst several others completed two years in the city.

The restaurant forayed into the Indian market in mid 2009 with the launch of their first outlet in Mumbai. Hyderabad saw the first restaurant open in 2012 at Inorbit Mall.

After a successful five years in the country, the chain which offers a variety of Southwest American fare is looking at ramping up operations. Currently, the chain has 10 stores in India and would be opening an additional 10 outlets in the western and southern regions of the country by 2015.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashish Saxena, CEO, Chili’s Grill & Bar, South & West India, said, “An average investment of one million dollars would be made per store and the new outlets would be located in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Goa, Chennai and Kochi. We are optimistic about tapping opportunities in India's growing casual dining space.”
