The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace hosted its annual cake mixing ceremony. Children of all ages, teens and adults were present and everyone had a gala time participating. Children from the Cheers Foundation were present at the event.
At the event, kids penned down their Christmas wishes for Santa Claus. Guests put on their aprons and chef hats and took part in making the 1,200 pound giant Christmas cake. By the end of the day around 90 litres of alcohol was used with 170 kg of dry fruits and candy.
Rakesh Upadhyay, EM, said, "Christmas is not fun without the traditional Christmas cake. It takes a lot of effort to have the right ingredients added in the cake. The preparation begins well in advance. The first step is the mixing and it is believed to be a forerunner of good things and happiness."
