Tawa Paneer Recipe of the Day

Ingredients

3 cups paneer (cottage cheese) cubes
2 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp chaat masala
salt to taste 4 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
2 tsp garlic (lehsun) paste
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
1 cup fresh tomato pulp
1/2 tsp roasted caraway seeds (shahjeera)
2 tbsp fresh cream
1/2 tsp garam masala
Garnish
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
How to prepare:
Combine the paneer, dried fenugreek leaves, chilli powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala and salt in a deep bowl, mix well and keep aside for 15 minutes.
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a non-stick tava (griddle), add the marinated paneer on a medium flame for 3 minutes while stirring occasionally. Remove and keep aside.
Heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil in a non-stick tava (griddle), add the cumin seeds and carom seeds and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
Add the onions and sauté on a medium flame or 1 to 2 minutes.
Add the garlic paste, green chillies, coriander powder and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.
Add the tomato pulp and caraway seeds, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
Add the cooked paneer, fresh cream, garam masala, mix gently and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
Serve hot garnished with coriander.
