Baba Ramdev To Campaign in Support of Narendra Modi. It is official now. Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev would be supporting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the coming elections.
Nation-wide simultaneous campaign on March 23
Hyderabad: It is official now. Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev would be supporting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the coming elections. Support to the party through the Yoga Week being celebrated across the country from March 17 to 23 by way of sermons, distribution of pamphlets and literature is underway. After March 23, the final day of the yoga camp, Bharat Swabhiman Trust and Patanjali Yoga Samithi guided by Baba Ramdev would launch a nationwide campaign in support of Narendra Modi-led Front.
Bharat Swabhiman Trust state chief coordinator G Sridhar Rao announced this at a press conference here on Friday. According to him, Yoga camps are being conducted in all the 23 districts in the State. In Hyderabad the camps are being held at Tera Panth Bhavan, D V Colony, Minister Road, Seethaphalmandi Arya Samaj, Bhuvana Vigyana Ground, KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Anand Nagar Welfare Association Ground, Phase I, Moula Ali, Champapet Cricket Club Grounds, Pullareddy Memorial High School, Dilshuknagar and Vidya Bharati High School, BHEL, RC Puram.
Door-to-Door campaigning with the message ‘Voter the fortune maker of India’ is being undertaken to ensure 100 per cent voter turnout in the elections. Addressing the media, Sridhar Rao said, “Campaign against corruption and black money is the main plank and volunteers of Bharat Swabhiman Trust will reach out to voters across the country to vote for honest candidates.”
He alleged that the Congress government had failed on all counts and had been looting the country for the last 65 years.
“There is a Modi wave in the country and more than 50 per cent of the population believes that Modi is the man to lead the nation. The yoga camps will emphasise on ancient Ayurveda and propagate Indian goods,” Sridhar Rao.
Yoga camps in all the districts in the country would be held simultaneously on March 23 between 4 pm to 6 pm. Baba Ramdev would be holding the camp at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi.
