TDP Unveils Separate Manifestos: Bonanza For All Sections. Unveiling his vision for all-round development of Telangana State and the residual State of Andhra Pradesh, the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday released two separate manifestos.

Samajika Telangana

  • Aims to empower BCs and allot CM post to them

  • To strive for Pranahitha and Chevella as a national project
  • All pending irrigation projects will be completed on fast-track

Swarnandhra Pradesh

  • Priority to promotion of agriculture and allied sectors
  • Industrial clusters along ports, and linking of all ports
  • Food processing centres in each district, growth centres in all mandals
  • Bullet trains connecting all important towns and commercial hubs
  • Modernisation of airports and setting up of new airports in major districts
  • Promotion of e-commerce to sell farmers’ produce in international market
  • Industrial corridors in Srikakulam, Visakhpatnam and Vizianagaram districts
  • Textile hubs will be established in Guntur and Prakasam districts
  • Automobile cluster in Krishna district and a granite centre in Prakasam

Hyderabad: Unveiling his vision for all-round development of Telangana State and the residual State of Andhra Pradesh, the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday released two separate manifestos.

While Naidu promised Samajika Telangana for the new state, he offered speedy development of the residuary state.

Both the manifestos give top priority to agriculture. As part of freebies for both States, he announced that his party would waive all the crop loans and loans taken by DWCRA SHGs. He also promised 9-hour quality power for agriculture and 24-hour power supply for domestic purpose.

Asserting the need to empower the BCs, Naidu said that 100 seats would be allotted to the Backward Communities in the Assembly elections. Separate Sub-Plan with an outlay of Rs 10,000 crore would be provided in the annual budget. The party would also fight providing 33.5 reservations for BCs in legislature bodies and 50 per cent reservation for them in local bodies.

The party aims at achieving social justice through the categorisation of Scheduled Castes into four groups and effective implementation of SC/ST Sub Plan. Naidu said that all the hamlets with a population of 500 in the agency areas would be promoted as gram panchayats and allocate sufficient funds for their development. He promised that ST reservation would be implemented at district level ensuring providing employment and education facility to all needy.

The TDP leader said that Rs 2,500 crore budget would be earmarked for the welfare and development of the people. Al the encroached Wakf lands would be protected by stringent laws.

Naidu said that all loans taken by weavers would be waived and his government would create Rs 1,000 crore special budget for the welfare of the community. The party also promised Rs 1 lakh interest-free loans to eligible weavers. He would also establish ‘cheneta bazaars” in all district to promote the handlooms sales.

Naidu said that it would launch “Pandanti Bidda” scheme for new-born children and mother by providing Rs 10,000 per month for six months. Free education would be provided to girl child from KG to PG.

Touching upon the need for ensuring security of girl child and women he said GPRS-based cell phones would be distributed to women and also separate police stations for women would be provided to them. The government would also deposit Rs 25,000 in the name of girl child at birth under Mahalakshmi Pathakam and Rs 2 lakh to be given at the time of marriage.

He said that the party would provide reservation in education and jobs to Kapus and special budget for the welfare of Brahmins . The assigned lands owned by the poor would be regularized giving them freedom to sell or purchase the lands. For the youth, the TDP leader promised to give unemployment dole of Rs 2,000 per month.
