Vizianagaram: On the sixth day of his tour in the district on Wednesday, YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at a public meeting in Parvathipuram promised to supply quality power for only Rs.100 and to set up a super-speciality hospital in the district for the poor. He assured to effectively implement the Aarogyasri scheme and fee reimbursement.

Jagan told the gathering that with elections 40 days away voters should ponder over who should be the chief minister. ‘Only those who have a permanent place in people’s hearts should be elected’, he suggested. The YSRCP leader reiterated that after assuming the Chief Minister’s office, he would sign five files. This action, he assured, would change the State’s history also the fate of people. The five files would be ‘Ammabadi’ scheme, increased old age pension of Rs.700, Rs.3,000-crore fund for farmers, waiver of Dwakra loans and scrapping of ‘belt’ shops, with a provision for one liquor shop in each constituency. He accused TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu of making ‘reckless’ promises to people ‘for votes and seats’, as he feared that it would the TD leader’s last election. ‘Naidu is cheating people’. Jagan remarked that while Naidu’s rule had terrorised people, YSR’s administration had brought fame to the State.

He appealed to voters to ensure highest majority to party candidates in the mandal and zilla parishad elections, thus ushering in ‘Rajanna’ rajyam.He announced Jammana Prasanna Kumar and Kothapalli Geeta as the YSRCP candidates for the Parvathipuram Assembly and Araku Lok Sabha seats. Earlier, Jagan held road shows in Pedamerangi, Thotapalli and Kurupam after staring at Parvathipuram in the morning.
