Hyderabad: The BJP released the list for 21 Assembly and 8 Lok Sabha seats in Telanagana late on Monday night, as the exercise of filing nominations ends on Tuesday. The biggest surprise is Kishan Reddy has been kept out of electoral battle this term. His constituency Amberpet has gone to TDP. Sources say that not contesting for this term is Kishan way of showing his dissent against the alliance.

He wanted to contest from Secunderabad LS seat, which has been allotted to senior leader Bandaru Dattareya, who has been the face of BJP in Secunderabad since 1991. An internal survey by the party revealed that Secunderabad was a winnable seat, which raised hopes in Kishan Reddy.
Last minute changes reportedly are the reason for the delay in the list. At the eleventh hour, BJP state president Kishan Reddy and Bandaru Dattatreya met TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and the trio discussed a few changes. BJP asked for Patancheru, Narayanpet and Suryapet seats, and agreed to part with Nalagonda, Khairatabad, Bhupalapalli, Nakirekal and another constituency of TDP’s choice. Later, it gave up its demands.
