Madanapalle: TDP activists stepped up pressure on the party high command to reconsider the allotment of Madanapalli seat to BJP on Friday.

The TDP leaders and activists from Madanapalle constituency including Ramasamudram, Nimmanapalli and Madanapalle held a meeting and unanimously adopted a resolution requesting N Chandrababu Naidu not to allot Madanapalle Assembly seat to BJP.
Activists including those who contested in the recent MPTC,ZPTC election, PACS (single window) directors, party functionaries and others numbering about 3,500 attended the meet held against the party decision to allot the Madanapalle seat to BJP.
They also warned that they will be restrained to choose one of the TDP leaders aspiring to contest from Madanapalle to contest as a rebel candidate.
The leaders including Ramdoss Choudary, Ratakonda Shobhan and Agriculture market committee chairman Sriram Chinababu said that after Kuppam, Madanapalle is a fortress to TDP as it elected TDP candidates five times in the seven elections held after TDP was formed in 1983.
As such it will be suicidal for the party to give the seat to BJP they said and added that giving the seat to BJP will result in an irreparable loss to the party as it will demoralise the cadre and the leaders.
