‘Ensure big win for TDP’
Lokesh: Ensure Big Win for TDP, Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh appealed to the rank and file of the TDP to work for a big victory for the party in the ensuing general elections.
Nimmakuru (Krishna): Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh appealed to the rank and file of the TDP to work for a big victory for the party in the ensuing general elections. Lokesh launched his one-day road show in Krishna district from Nimmakuru, the native village of party founder late NT Rama Rao. He garlanded the statues of NTR and wife Basavatarakam before launching his tour.
Addressing the party workers and the people, Lokesh emphasised the need to bring TDP to power both in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for rapid development in the light of bifurcation. He said the party and the leaders intending to be at the helm of affairs in the post-bifurcation scenario should have vision and commitment towards the people. He said only TDP had the vision and its leader Chandrababu had the commitment and experience to develop the State.
He paid rich tributes to late NTR and said that the legend had created history by coming to power in a record span of nine months after forming the TDP. He said NTR’s entry into politics had brought recognition to the Telugu people around the world. Time has come for the Telugu people to join hands and stand for their welfare and protection, he added.
TDP senior leaders, including Machilipatnam MP Konakalla Narayana Rao, MLA candidates from Pamarru and Gudivada, Varla Ramaiah and Ravi Venkateswara Rao, respectively, besides others were present. Lokesh also addressed a public meeting at Gudivada and later in Vijayawada on the first day.
