Jairam: will moot Kadapa as capital

Kadapa: Union Minister Jairam Ramesh on Friday called for defeat of both BJP and TDP, as communal harmony would be endangered if they came to power. At a press meet here, he said he would suggest Kadapa as the Seemandhra State. He said it was not proper for YSRCP to claim credit for all the Congress schemes implemented in the State. Arogyasri, Jalayagnam, Pavala Vaddi, loan waiver were taken up by the Congress.

He alleged that YS Jaganmohan Reddy was spending ‘corrupt money liberally. Jagan has a treasury like Golconda fort’. He challenged the MP to disclose his earnings. ‘Nowhere during his campaign has Jagan criticised BJP. This suggests that he may join BJP after elections.

Ramesh denied YSRCP leaders’ claims that the Congress high command had plotted to file cases against Jagan. Cases were filed following court orders, after complaints of corruption were lodged He quipped that if Jagan became CM he would not have time for duty, as he has to go to court seeking bail. He asserted that except CPM all parties had given letters supporting the State bifurcation. The Congress party would fulfill all its assurances given to Seemandhra people.
