Amit Shah: Priyanka Will Get TRPs for CongressNew Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party's Uttar Pradesh in-charge Amit Shah took a jibe at Congress President Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka saying she will only get TV TRPs for the Congress party and will not make any difference to the party's fortune. In an interview to IBN18 Network Editor-in-Chief Rajdeep Sardesai, Shah said, "Priyanka Gandhi always campaigns for the party and she also campaigned during the Assembly polls."

Clarifying his point on Priyanka that she will only increase TRPs, Shah said, "I never called Priyanka Gandhi a television star. The TRPs are increased by incidents. We have no problem in Priyanka campaigning for her mother and her brother in their bastions. We our fighting out battle and they are is fighting theirs."

Shah also said there is a neck and neck fight between the Congress and BJP in Rahul Gandhi's constituency Amethi. He said, "No doubt, Amethi is Congress's patrimonial seat but people are looking for a change in this elections. The BJP workers are fighting hard to win this seat and it will be a neck and neck fight between the BJP and Congress."

On the issue of Central government appointing a judge to preside over snooping scandal probe against Narendra Modi, Shah said it is nothing but political vindictiveness and the BJP has no faith whatsoever in such a commission appointed by the Centre. Shah said there is already a commission formed by the state government to probe the snooping case. On the question of the Centre not having faith on it, Shah said, "We don't want Centre's trust in the commission. Secondly, the commission is being formed during elections when the government will be changed at the Centre. So, this is nothing but political vindictiveness." Shah, however, refused to comment on whether the BJP-led government will continue with the commission or scrap it. He said, "Let them make the commission first. There have been three announcements to constitute a commission in seven months and it has not been formed. Let's see what happens."
