YS Jagan has been contesting in the polls for the first time from this constituency, which was represented by his late father and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekahar Reddy, and his mother YS Vijayamma.
Later, talking to the media Jagan said that he vows a clean sweep in Seemandhra. Nevertheless, his main opponent party, the TDP-BJP alliance was equally poised over the issue. It is only after the results on May 16, the fate could be revealed for any party.
