Hyderabad: As there are no polling agents available for Telugu Desam Party in as many as 8 villages, the entire polling has been taking place one-sided during the Wednesday General Elections in Seemandhra. The 8 villages identified are: Goginuru; dhramapuram, Danavulapadu, Sugumanchipalli, Sunnapurallapalled, Sirigepalle, Devagudi, Peddadamdluru.
Also, Kadapa district turned appalling in view of the General Elections in Seemandhra. The YSR Congress Party activists have been messing up the entire show, and have been attacking the Telugu Desam Party activists. The factionist areas became tensed. At Nakkadinne of Chatapparu mandal in Kadapa district, Putta Sudhakar Reddy, the Telugu Desam Party candidate, was attacked by the YSR Congress Party activists. They hurled stones against the TDP activists injuring them sternly. Even a woman was brutally injured in this incident.
The Telugu Desam Party informed the Election Commission that few villages which are badly influenced by the YSRCP have not yet started partaking in the poll process. They urged the EC to intervene so that the voters would cast their votes freely bowing for any sort of pressure.
Despite the fact the Election Commission was aware that such untoward incidents would prevail in Kadapa district, they haven’t provided adequate security in the district. The TDP leaders urged EC for their intervention for smooth conducting of polls in the district.
