Nirbhaya Act booked against CID Inspector in Karimnagar
A CID inspector, Dayakar Reddy was booked under Nirbhaya Act after he sent objectionable messages and pictures to a woman in Karimnagar on Saturday.
A CID inspector, Dayakar Reddy was booked under Nirbhaya Act after he sent objectionable messages and pictures to a woman in Karimnagar on Saturday. The victim, a 41-year-old woman from Srinagar Colony who works in the agriculture department was being questioned by the inspector in the investigation of tainted CID ASI B Mohan Reddy who is a distant relative of the woman.
As a part of the investigation, the CID inspector took her mobile phone number and has been sending objectionable messages and pictures to the woman’s WhatsApp for the last four months.
The victim unable to bear the harassment filed a complaint with the Karimnagar police who registered a case against CID inspector Dayakar Reddy under the Nirbhaya Act and IPC 354 sections (a) and (d).
