The river Ganga flows from these mountains.
Amarnath, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Pasupatinath and Gangotri are on these mountains.
They are holy places.
People visit them.
The peaks of the Himalayas are covered with snow.
They look white.
Poets call these mountains the crown of Bharata Mata or Mother India.
The great rishis of India did tapas on these mountains.
Even now many holy men are there.
The Himalayas remind us of our country’s greatness.
