Broadridge Financial Solutions (India) Private Limited conducted a baking workshop at its Hi-tech City campus. The workshop was conceptualised to trigger the creative side of the participants through baking.

The ‘Big BR Bake-Off’ at Broadridge India, was conceptualised as an avenue to break the routine and unleash creativity of the associates. Participants were divided in teams and taught to bake and design cupcakes.

The activity then culminated into a contest amongst the associates. The cupcakes were judged on the most creative designs and baking technique. The workshop was open to Broadridge associates across all levels. It witnessed participation of about 200 associates who were thrilled to learn the new skill of baking.

Celebrity Chef, food critic and author Ruchika Sharma conducted the workshop.

Traditionally cooking and baking are considered to be great stress busters. Psychologists and experts claim these activities to be therapeutic and provide an outlet to express oneself and also keep the inner spark alive. These activities can also stimulate cognition and enhance memory.

Rajita Singh, head-human resources, Broadridge Indiam said, “Each one of us has a creative side which remains untapped as we run through our list of daily activities.

This creative potential once unlocked, brings forth tremendous energy, satisfaction and out of the box thinking ability. We at Broadridge aim to unlock this creative energy through such activities, which can transform the individual psyche and enrich the lives of our associates.

This also enables our associates to learn new skills at the comfort of their work premises.”
