SCRES members protest against the privitasation move on Tuesday
The cadre of SCRES staged a dharna over the issue on Tuesday. Memorandums were submitted to concerned officials demanding the railway board to immediately withdraw the decision.

“The federation is against the unilateral decision of the railway board in outsourcing the perennial nature of activities of the commercial department. It demands the Centre as well as railway ministry to immediately withdraw the decision of introducing Yatri Ticket Suvidha Kendra (YTSK),” stated SCRES.

“The Railway Employees in general and commercial staff in particular, despite facing many odds, have been rendering their services up to the satisfaction of travelling public without giving any scope for complaints from any corner. If the smooth working system is disturbed and handed over to a few private parties, there would be many chances of exploiting the system by the third parties which would ultimately disrepute the railways,” added a release by the SCRES.
