The three-day conference ‘Build 4 India’, which is the fourth international exhibition and conference on construction equipment, machinery, green building solutions, building materials and facility management, concluded at Hitex, Madhapur, on Sunday.

“Building design methodology must be energy efficient. Some buildings due to their design consume a lot of energy. Similarly the building industry consumes and wastes a lot of water. They must use pre-cast technology. Sustainability and energy efficiency are the only way forward in future, if you have to have good civil infrastructure,” said K Bikshapathi, engineer-in-chief and quality control and director general, National Academy of Construction.
“After the formation of Telangana State, it has opened a plethora of opportunities for construction industry. The State government has announced various measures such as irrigation tanks restoration, water grid establishment to make drinking water available all through the year,” he added.
The conference was actively supported by a concurrent international conference on sustainable civil infrastructure, jointly organised by the American Society of Civil Engineers and IIT Hyderabad. Bringing in enormous expertise from world, the conference was focussing on the sustainability which is the need of the hour.
The key players of the industry like NCL Secolor and Mahavir ISUZU, Godrej & Boyce, GECO, KIRBY and Woodmaid and many others showcased great presence in the market. A wide range of construction material, machinery and technology for infrastructure such as road paving machines, construction vehicles, earth moving equipment, transit mixers, concrete pumps, lifting and material handling equipment, automatic concrete batching plant, green technologies and products such as green building facilities, green energy technologies, green product manufacturers and facility management solutions and products such as housekeeping equipment, parking management systems, security systems and services, elevators, escalators and related products etc were showcased.
The three-day fair was visited by more than 10,000 including CEOs, purchase managers, architects, builders, property developers and interior designers.
