Blood donation a social responsibility
HDFC Bank, in association with the SRKR Engineering College Old Students Association and the college NSS unit, organised a blood donation camp on Thursday.
Bhimavaram: HDFC Bank, in association with the SRKR Engineering College Old Students Association and the college NSS unit, organised a blood donation camp on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, college director SV Ranga Raju described blood donation as a social responsibility of every individual. He lauded the initiative of the college alumni and the NSS unit in organising the blood donation camp, which helps save lives in medical emergencies.
HDFC Bank Chinaamiram branch manager Balijepalli Srirama Murthy said that the bank entered the Guinness Book of World Records by organising the highest number of blood donation camps in the country last year.
Presiding over the programme, college principal D Ranga Raju said that students were conducting blood donation camps regularly as a social service activity. NSS programme co-ordinator P Satyanarayana Raju, Old Students Association coordinator Viswanatha Raju, mechanical engineering department head K Brahma Raju and others were present.
