A fete to celebrate Vaikuntha Ekadasi, The school principal Sushant Das on Tuesday said that the school management was organising the event to educate schoolchildren on the rich traditions and heritage of Hinduism.
Nalanda Vidyaniketan, in association with the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), will celebrate Vaikuntha Ekadasi at its secondary school campus in Gayatri Nagar on Thursday.
The school principal Sushant Das on Tuesday said that the school management was organising the event to educate schoolchildren on the rich traditions and heritage of Hinduism.
“Appreciating the initiative of the school management, the TTD extended its support for conducting the fete,” he said.
“The idols of Lord Venkateswara and Goddesses Sri Devi and Bhudevi will be set up at the venue as part of Uttara Dwara Darshanam on Vaikuntha Ekadasi. The rituals on the auspicious occasion will begin at 5 am at the venue.
Devotees will be allowed to have a darshan of the Lord from 6 am. A literary meet on Kaliyuga Vaikuntham and Annamacharya Keertanas will also be held as part of the fete,’’ said school vice principal Sai Devasena.
