Yanam's Flowery Swachh Bharat

The 16th Flower Show arranged as part of the 13th Yanam People’s Cultural Festival was thrown open to the public on Tuesday night at the GMC Balayogi Sports Complex. The festival features more than 100 varieties of flowers from across the country. The theme of the flower show is ‘Swachh Yanam’. Some of the flower varieties on display at the festival includes Orchids, African Marigold, Vinca, Gerrera, Tanumium, Poinsettia Fireball, Dahlia, Begonia, Hibiscus, Kebena, Kebena cut flowers, Bonsai, Ornamental Mirchi, Daintheis, French marigold and Chrysanthemum. Puducherry Lieutenant Governor General Ajay Kumar Singh, Chief Minister N Rangasamy inaugurated the flower show. Yanam MLA Malladi Krishna Rao graced the event.
