Lions Clubs International, District-316D, organised a seminar on ‘Googling for You’ in the city on Sunday to educate the middle aged and senior citizens on Google and its applications.Speaking at the seminar, National Informatics Centre senior technical director VVV Ramana said that it was important for everyone to adapt to technology in the era of globalisation to lead a comfortable life. “Google is familiar to everyone irrespective of his or her age. But it’s not just about mail and search engine. There are various aspects of Google and its applications which makes life easier. Putting technology to right use will benefit the mankind in many ways,” he said.

Ramana explained the salient features of Google Plus, Google Drive, hangout, maps, translate, language typing, YouTube, Picasa, navigation, phonetic correction and other applications to the participants of the seminar.Winmethods Technologies Limited director PB Srinivas spoke about ‘Be Smart with latest Gadgets’, while district chairperson for information technology M Rama Rao dwelt on ‘Effect of IT on Environment’.
