Veteran film actor and writer Raavi Kondala Rao’s autobiography, ‘Nagavali Nunchi Manjeera Varaku’, was released at an event organised by Abhiruchi Cultural Association (ACA), in collaboration with Sumadhura Kalaniketan and Andhra Arts Academy on Friday. Management consultant MC Das, who released the book, presented the first copy to Abhiruchi Cultural Association president P Krishnaji.


Speaking on the occasion, Das recollected his long association with Kondala Rao from his school days. He mentioned Kondala Rao’s initiative in penning the script for his award winning playlet ‘Kukka Pilla Dorikindi’. “In his autobiography, Kondala Rao narrates his tryst with film industry and his life experiences, which deserves appreciation,” Das said.

Kondala Rao exhorted people to promote theatre art as an effective medium to enlighten society. S Krishnaveni reviewed the book. Later, Kondala Rao was felicitated by the three cultural associations. Sumadhura Kalaniketan president Samanthapudi Narasaraju, Andhra Arts Academy general secretary Golla Narayana Rao, ACA secretary Chinnam Ramakrishna, musician Veenapani, Gumma Sambasiva Rao, organiser Madugula Ramakrishna and others were present.
