Praja Natya Mandali from June 13

The 9th annual State convention of Andhra Pradesh Praja Natya Mandali will be held at Rajahmundry from June 13 to 16. Praja Natya Mandali state general secretary P Chandra Naik on Wednesday said the organisation earlier planned to hold the convention from April 25 to 28.

But it was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. A Kala Utsav highlighting the rich culture and heritage of Andhra Pradesh would be organised as part of the convention. It would also showcase several traditional folk art forms which are on the verge of extinction.

About 3,000 Praja Natya Mandali artistes from all across the State would take part in the convention. The meet would chalk out a plan of action to strengthen the organisation, he said.
