Visalandhra Book House gets a facelift

Mayor Koneru Sridhar and MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao inaugurated the newly renovated Visalandhra Book House on Karl Marx Road in the city on Thursday.Speaking at the inauguration, the Mayor lauded the efforts of the book house in promoting reading habit among people in the cyber era.

“It has been serving the needs of book lovers, litterateurs, students and people of all walks of life in the city for quite a long time. The initiative of the management in renovating the book house deserves appreciation as it can meet the requirements of people in the capital region better now,” the Mayor added.

Visalandhra Vignana Samithi chairman Muppalla Nageswara Rao, secretary Ravula Venkaiah, treasurer VVS Murthy, editorial board chairman Edupuganti Nageswara Rao, former MLC Jelli Wilson, book house publishing editor G Koteswara Rao and others were present on the occasion. Post inauguration, Minister for Human Resource Development Ganta Srinivasa Rao along with the Minister for Irrigation Devineni Umamaheswara Rao visited the renovated book house.
